Default Spoon caliper and wheel gap question

I picked up a set of 15x7 +45 Regamasters to use as drag wheels. They need a 3mm spacer to clear the calipers but it barely clears. Maybe....maybe...a credit card between the wheel spoke and the caliper.

I know I should be okay and from what I read, I should be ok, but I am still iffy. The people that I have read about are just daily driving.

Am I just paranoid?

You should be fine as long as you're not tracking on that wheel with tiny clearance.

Perhaps the 15" is stronger than the 17" (in terms of flex) but my friend nicked the caliper on his 17" regas on a track day. He went with a bigger spacer after to make clearance for his Brembo Monoblocks.

I am not tracking it but taking it to the drag strip.

Theoretically I should be ok right?
