need some rough idle opinions please
After getting my idle down to a normal level I am still noticing that my idle isn't as steady as it should be. I have brand new gaskets everywhere, done a full tune-up, have installed new IACV, FITV, throttle body, O2 sensor, ECTS, air sensor, ignition coil, distributor, exhaust, (aside from muffler)....etc...there's tons of new parts on it. One point being that I'm 99% sure this isn't a vacuum leak issue.
So my RPMs are floating around 750 more or less. I have adjusted my idle as described in my Chilton manual. But I still notice a rough idle and my RPMs vary by about 50-100 at any given time after warming up. Here's the thing that really gets me: It seems like I'm having load issues still!!! My RPM's seem like they fluctuate a little too much when turning the wheel or pushing the rear defrost, or certain things like that.
*Would a failing MAP sensor cause idle issues with electrical loads???
*Also, just on a side-note... I just fixed an oil leak into my plug wells but didn't replace the plugs or wires because it was an emergeny fix...only one of the plugs/wires were saturated...could a bad plug or wire cause a problem like this???
