I've been driving an 83 accord sedan for a couple months now. Only thing I've done is add a cd player and better speakers in the rear deck. Other than that it's all original as far as I can tell. After browsing the site a little I see I need to get some pics for you guys I'll see what I can do this evening

Love the 2nd gen Accords. I got my license in a 1983 Accord. It was my Mom's and two years old. I'm currently looking for another one now.

Amazing ride, looks very clean and shiny considering its age.

thanks, everyone that sees it in person is amazed at the shape it's in. The guy I got it from is a part time mechanic and he took real good care of it. The only real problem with the body is a couple small dents in the hood and some tiny rust spots on the roof near the wind shield.

Great car! It's in such good shape for the age!

What's the "Flow" setting on your blower do? I haven't seen that before.

I'm not exactly sure I just assumed it opened the vents but didn't really do anything else. The air doesn't work right anyways I probably need to look into that before it starts to get real hot here

Oh boy. Get ready to deal with the woes of freon. Unless it's been converted before, the Accord probably runs on r-12, which is illegal now, and getting that (legally) evacuated for an r-134a can be tough these days.

Nice ride,

sorry to disagree, but even in Calif you can have R-12 installed at a certified A/C place, it costs more, r-12 is still available.

Enjoy the accord.

That's cool. Around here (Missouri) there's some regulation against it. I guess I assumed it was nationwide. In that case, treyfeezy, I would recommend paying the extra and sticking with r-12. Converting the whole system over might end up costing the same anyway.

I'll have to ask the guy I bought it form if he ever converted or not. I got it in Jan. and A/C was not on my mind at all. If it's to expensive either way I'll just have to deal with it.

Look around under the hood for a sticker. There should be something stating that it was converted to r-134a. Shops, I think, are required to put them on, and even DIY conversion kits come with them.
