This is my first ek so dont laugh if this is a newb question. ( like the notorious Crx hatch squeak) But when it rains I can hear water dripping down inside my door. It's like it doesn't stop at the bottom of my window like most cars. It's just really annoying and is this normal? I had the door panel off and saw no rust and there is a factory hole at the bottom. So it looks like it was meant to leak. But just checking I don't want to have my door rust out I just had it painted......

 

well if you saw now rust and found a "drain hole", then you may have answered your own question.

Anyways...I dont know if they are known for "leaky windows" - I have never owned one. Someone else may chime in. But I would not worry about if their is no sign of rust or sitting water. Take the door panel off right after a good drenching and check it out???

 

water generally run down past the window and comes out the drain holes in the bottom of the doors.
