Default FS/FT 96 Firebird Trans Am LT1 6spd 3500!!!

$3500 firm

1996 Trans Am
LT1
6 speed
135k miles
all power
Pacesetter longtubes
3" ORY
3" exhaust to flowmaster
Manual Cutout
K&N Cai
Walbro pump

Engine: Runs like a top. Probably the fastest exhaust/intake modded LT1 i've came across. Motor doesn't burn oil at all but front seal does drip. Doesn't drip enough to warrant the hassle changing it just yet. I've drove it for 2 months and had to put a 1/4 quart of oil in it so its no biggie.

Induction: The rubber intake elbow is rotted and ripped so at times it sucks a lil air before the maf and it will make it idle a bit low but not a problem. Just need an elbow. I was just gonna save up for a nice aftermarket piece myself.

Exhaust: The driver side header gasket is leaking. When cold it makes more noise but not as bad when warm. Like most Fbody's with longtubes the headers hit when punching it in 1st gear. Nothing bad though.

Sensors/CEL's: Both front 02 sensors are dead and need replaced. Rear 02's are gone due to the aftermarket exhaust. They're not needed and don't affect the performance of the car but it still has the cel's for them so they need turned off by a tuner unless you just don't care to look at the cel all the time.

Electronics: All windows and locks work as well as the keyless entry. Stereo sounds decent for oem. Antenna doesn't work but still picks up radio good. High beam switch doesn't work.

Transmission: Shifts great in all gears. Clutch still has good life too. Judging from the feel i'd say its an oem replacement clutch cause i don't see the oem unit lasting to 135k.

Tires: 245 coopers and have probably 75% tread left. They're real nice.

Suspension: Bone stock, rides rough as hell. Could definately use some replacement.

Cooling: The fan doesn't turn on. Not sure if its a relay, sensor, or what. Worst case scenario i was just gonna run it by switch but haven't messed with it cause it stays cool just fine. If you set it traffic for too long it'll finally get up to 220 degrees or so but otherwise it stays around 170-180.

AC: Has all the components but needs recharged.

Body/Paint: 1st of all the wheels were painted black and are chipping badly. Either recoat them or blast off the paint to return to factory polished look. The body paint isnt the best but expected for a 15yo car. Faded a bit in areas but not bad. Has some scrapes here and there but you'll see in person.

Other: The t-tops leak on the passenger side. Not too bad but when it rains hard you get some steady drips. You can hear the wind coming through once you get too about 70mph. Car has a salvage title. Had a passenger rear quarter panel replaced due to a previous owner sliding it into a pole.

Summary: A great running LT1 thats fun as hell to drive thats reliable to take where ever you want. Drove it 5 hours to get it home a couple months ago and drive it around 250 miles a week as it is my daily driver. Needs a lil TLC but its all stuff that can wait if you don't have money to take care of it now.

Possible trades would be about anything. Have another baby on the way and decided i need to get a more practical daily and possibly some extra cash depending on car. Ready to sell, trade, or trade plus cash on your end depending on car/truck/suv.

On with the pics. Btw i haven't cleaned this car since i got it. lol All i've done is driven it.

1st 2 pics were when i bought the car but posting them cause they're the only clean pics i have of it and the wheels weren't chipped yet so it gives ya a good idea of how it is clean. The other pics are from the present.

Here she is this evening totally unwashed and probably the nastiest its ever been. lol Poor ole girl. I'll get her washed soon. Been some rainy crappy weather here lately.

Some exhaust vids. You can hear the flutter from the leaking header gasket when filmed from the front.
