need help with pin placement on secondary O2 sensor
So last night I replaced my cat. converter in my R, as I was disconnecting the O2 sensor from inside the car, the wires and pins came out from the connector (male end). Not sure exactly why they were loose to begin with, possibly due to the recent work of replacing my steering rack.
so there are 4 wires total, in a square configuration. what i did do was put the two black leads side by side (since i remember that much) and did all possible combinations with the black leads side by side and with the other two wires. the first two tries resulted in a check engine light. but the third seemed to be the correct way, no check engine light at all.
does anyone know the order of those pins? is it possible for me to still have the pins in the wrong places and have no check engine light? just want to be sure i have it correct. thanks in advance!

The ETM that I had bought from Acura say's the #1-WHT sensor wire goes to the BLU/RED harness wire. #2-GRN sensor wire goes to the ORG/BLU harness wire. #3-BLK sensor wire goes to the BLK/YEL harness wire. #4-BLK sensor wire goes to the GRN/RED harness wire. The 2 BLK wires should be on the bottom of the sensor. Hopefully you didnt put a black power wire to the ECM/PCM signal wire you may have fried the computer. If the light is out though you may be in luck.
Thanks RHD! I appreciate the info. I'm going to double check tonight when I get home from work. If the ECU is fried, will the car run at all? I may have tried the possibility u mentioned not to do, i cant remember. The car runs good, starts up fine, etc. CEL is off now. When I was trying diff. possibilities the (what i assume to be) wrong combos lit up the CEL immediately, then I would disconnect the negative batt. cable to clear. So eventually I got to my current combo and the light stayed off. From what I understand the black wires can be safely swapped within the two connections at the bottom of the connector, I read that in another thread. how much did u pay for that manual u got from acura? what does etm stand for? i may have to go get one for future reference if they still sell them. Thanks again!
Well if your car runs fine, and not in limp mode im confident your ecm is ok... ETM- Electrical Throubleshooting Manual, just goto any acura dealer and ask for the 98 integra ETM. The OEM repair manual and etm can also be bought through Helm Inc I believe...
my wiring checks out exactly as you stated. yeah i'll have to get a copy of the etm, def. handy. thanks again for ur time and help!
