Bolt nuts broke off
Hi,
I tried to take off the heat shield to replace my o2 sensor. the bolts were rusted and broke off and now they're flush with the manifold... does anyone know how to get them out? thanks.

Or a Dremel. Used one many times in close quarters to grind out enough of a broken stud/bolt in order to get an extractor inserted.
Note for the future: PB Blaster or Deep Creep applied the day before a project makes life sooo much easier. If a nut isn't hard to access, I spray penetrant, let it soak, wrench the nut a little, back and forth gently, let it rest, spray again, wrench it and so on.
I've never re-assembled a fastener without an appropriate substance; anti-seize, grease, oil, silicone spray...
Good luck!
