i recently changed my intake to an AEM short ram and i have a box with a valve i heard its a resonator for the intake. i wondering if i need it or not??

 

ummm... what car? is it your 92 integra we are talking about?

Since you are no longer using the factory air filter intake routing, there is no need to leave the resonator assembly in the car. You may remove it completely without any ill effects. Although on the VTEC equipped cars I cannot remember what happens to the vacuum hose that leads to the resonator solenoid assembly.

 

its the accord were talkin about and yes i have VTEC

 

You can completely remove the OEM intake resonator system, it's solenoids and vacuum hoses. Where the vacuum hose ends use a vacuum cap to close/seal the vacuum source.

 

would there be a check engine light on if i remove the solienoid?
