Ok guys maybe im terrible at searching but I can't seem to find a specific answer to my question.
ok I've got a 96 accord f22b2 with about 280,000 miles.
The auto tranny just went out, so I found and bought a f22a1 with tranny for 200 bucks. I had a buddy swap out the tranny from the f22a to my f22b and all is good now, but here's where im stuck.
In a few months im moving from oregon to utah, and im worried about my engine with 280,00 miles on it.
If im not mistaken the f22a1 is obd1 and my accord is obd2.
Would it be possible to swap that f22a into my car and what would be involved?

First, why are you worried about the current engine?

Second, swaps have been beat to death. Have you searched, looked in the FAQ for answers. Sensors are different between the two, also denpending on state laws this may or may not pass inspection.

 

Im worried because everything else has been replaced under the hood except the engine.
And since I have an engine sitting in my backyard with only 67,000 miles on it, would be nice to put in my car. I can't take it with me otherwise when I move.

I don't have a pc so everything I do is on my droid, and the search function on this site wont work with my phone.
I've spent countless hours on google though with no such luck finding a definite answer to my question.

 

I would not worry about the engine as long as the proper maintenance has been done IE oil changes, timing belt, balance belt water pump,ect. I have seen these engines last up 600K. My 95 f22b2 w/ 240k runs just like a brand new engine, smooth as silk.
