Icon6 thermostat housing sending unit

if i replace the existing sending unit with a aftermarket gauge sending unit will it mess with my ecu or cooling fans, cause i replaced it and my car started running rough and then i put the stock one back in and it was fine confused.

Yes. If you replace the sending unit that the ECM looks at with one that is calibrated differently you can have this symptom.

On a 95 Accord, isn't the temp sending unit for the gauge on the end of the head? Single wire switch.....Thermo A is on the t-stat?

Correct! The temp gauge sending unit is the single wire unit located in the head under the distributor. If you are wiring up aftermarket gauge this is the sending unit you want. Not the fan control units on the thermostat housing and upper rad hose.
