91 Honda Accord
I recently bought a 91 Honda Accord, The s light started blinking a couple days ago, and now my battery light has came on. I'm not sure what to do or where to start..Any suggestions would be great...
Under the glove box is a blue connector that is either plugged into a "blank" connector or not plugged into anything at all. Jump the two terminals and turn the ignition to the 'ON' position. The Check Engine Light, ABS and gear position indicator will flash a "code".
The battery light means the sensing circuit in the ECM is not seeing charging voltage. Could be caused by a faulty alternator.

First thing I would do is make sure your ground wire is nice and clean and the mounting points are clean, too.
Is the car running fine when the battery light and S light come on?

Why would you want to make sure the ground is clean? Wouldn't you rather voltage drop the connection? And, what mounting points are you talking about?
Also, if an indicator is flashing, why wouldn't you want to know the code before starting "checking things"?

I think your best bet is to get the alternator checked out, see if it is charging the battery. Usually when the alternator stops working, the battery light comes on. I hope this will resolve it.
