I'm pretty sure the key is paired with the ECU. I would think the dealer probably has a way of resetting them.

 

i think i have heard of a way to bypass the immobilizer but i dont think it something that should be shared on a public forum and im not 100% on if im right...but to answer your other question the ECU is dependent on the chip in the key to start

2 solutions i can offer would be to have the dealer reprogram your old key to work with your new ecu or to have your locks re-pinned to work with the donor key

its not a question of whether its right or wrong, its about talking openly on forum and giving information to thieves. if you would much rather have your information out there on how to steal your car that is your opinion but here on honda-tech we do not wish to disclose such information openly on the forum hence why i said to pm me or another mod in this forum and we can give you the answers that you seek...

you would rather not listen to guidance of others and put information on the web that we do not want there for purposes that you obviously do not understand.
