Default Question about bushings, please help!

Hi, my 15 years old Integra's bushings are starting to crack, I was thinking of replacing them all with the Energy Suspension Hyper-Flex kit. Has anyone ever used this before? I did a research on it, and some says they wear out faster than OEM bushings, and of course some says they make a HUGE difference..

If possible can I get some feedback from those who've installed them? Thanks!

Here's reference to the kit.. http://www.assaultech.com/energy_sus.../i-104789.aspx

I installed the whole kit on my 94 civic. ( the 160 dollar one ) It was kinda a pain in the *** but it was defiantly worth it. Hardest part was pressing the old bushings out. Id recommend doing it with air tools and a lift for sure! It handled really really nice after that, very stiff, instant response as soon as you touched the wheel. Use a lot of the grease they give you also

so you're saying it'll be stiff and response really well, but how's the comfortness? what would you rate it from a 1-10 scale?

Comfort prolly 7/10. But the overall handling 9/10. I dont think your going to have the best of both worlds with a honda or acura. I had a springs and struts on it also, so I im pretty sure that will make a bit of diff too how it handles and rides. (ran out of money so I threw dropzone springs and struts on it, suprisingly I was very happy with the way it rode with the cheaper suspension)

I do not recommend the normal replacement polyurethane bushings for any suspension part. I have the full HardRace rubber bushing kit on my car and couldn't be happier with them.

Function7 uses specially-made polyurethane bushings for their LCA's which seem to work well, and they will replace for free if you ever have a problem with them. They also don't need to be greased at all. But the regular poly bushings made for OEM suspension arms are junk.

I've seen pics posted on here before of the black ones in the front LCA's that had deformed with lots of play in the inner bolt sleeve after only a couple of years. I personally wouldn't touch them.

That's why I went with hard rubber. After a horrible experience with poly shifter bushings, and seeing the wear on some of these poly suspension bushings, I was like damn my 15 yr old original rubber bushings don't have THAT much play in them!

i just finished all of the bushings on my ej1. i went with PIC/suja kit and i couldnt be happier. im pretty sure the hardrace and PIC kits are almost identical.

i did alot of research before i dropped cash on a kit, and from what i gathered is that honda designed the suspension to work with the rubber bushings that actually twist, instead of the free floating type bushings like the poly. i wanted to keep everything working how it was designed to work. being a mechanic thats how things should be. i also heard all of the negative things with the poly bushings... im sure theyd be okay for a weekend car/ dedicated track car, but even then, things arent working exactly how they were designed to work. the choice is up to you, but my vote goes towards hardrace or pic man

I didnt have any problems for over a year with them. But then again im sure chemicals used on the roads in the winter would determine the life of a lot of bushings. I sold the car awhile ago so I cant say how long they lasted, but from personal experiance after a year they were still good.
