Engine is 2001 B18C1

Not that there is anything wrong with what you are doing, but ordering engine internals for your Honda from Summit is kinda

CP, Wiseco, Arias, Manley, JE all make good pistons for your car.

lol, yea the compression calculator that gsr posted is by far the most informed and accurate.

also look into mahle. they make awesome parts

 

With a stock headgasket and .020 taken off the head and block you will be at 9:1 on the dot with the Arias link you listed.

 

9:1 on 15lbs of boost, would that give me 350 true wheel HP?

 

Without knowing what turbo I cant really help you, on a GSR typically yes unless your running something really small.

Cons: its a POS made in china, it will spool fast and them quickly fall of its face and stay there.

That thing will be wayy to lazy with a exhaust housing of .82. It would still be slightly large even in a .63 exhaust housing but not bad if you decide to run more power. Look into a precision 5857 with an a/r .63 exhaust and an a/r .60 compressor housing. You will have a much more usable powerband. I ran that on my gsr and I make 400 on 16lbs using 93 oct. Mine was even a cast wheel journal bearing 5857.

 

What about the Holset turbos? I heard those can make good power and the spool super quick.

 

personally Id stick with a Precision or a Garett. I just got my mine in the mail yesterday.

 

Is that your turbo in the picture? What is the rating on that one? how is the spool time and power range?

 

Ya its mine. Its a billet 6262. It has a .82 a/r exhaust and a .70 a/r compressor cover. Its rated to the 700whp range, but I know alot of ppl who have made 750-800 on them. This will not be a effecient turbo for your setup. The powerband will be useless.

 

Am I doing something wrong here? Is this CR going to be too low?

if you smooth the chamber you'll have more than 41.6ccs also depends on what valves you use. personally i'm all about oem or ferrera.

piston wise, i really don't see a reason to build a 9:1 street engine

if you use the ferrera dished valves and shave the deck and block to being true along with an oem head gasket you should fall right around 10:1-1 to 10:5-1 with the below piston, it really all depends on how you work the combustion chamber and how much winds up being shaved

ahh.. those are dished. it will work, just will require more pressure than a flat top.
