new project!!! ef hatch
hey everyone! i sold my ef sedan and got a 91 hatch with a partial ls swap. its clean and has some good parts. its the b18b1 with hydro trans, innovative mounts and a nice na exhaust. i got some questions for the swap tho. when i picked up the car the motor was sitting in the hole with no wiring or axels. we pulled out in 5 minutes lol. i got the motor cleaned up a little and back in the hole now i need to figure out the wiring, axels and two mounts.
for wiring the body is not si so i believe its dual point. so i think i need to do the multi point swap and be close to set?? i would rather take out the dash and get a si harness but dont know for sure how much si harness i need. the multi point conversion dosent seem fun at all and confusing but if that really is the best way i will tackle it.
then for axels i have 4 axels and 2 half shafts that idk what they are for exactly. i know one half shaft is for a 88 integra d16a1 auto so that probably wont work but havent looked at it. for the ls swap with hydro trans what axels do you use?
then mounts. the car came with innovative mounts and they look good! the passenger side one lined up great with the body and trans. the rear or firewall mount bolts to the block and sits on the crossmember nice or bolts to the crossmember nice but holds the motor to the passenger side about a inch to for. so what bracket do you need that bolts to the motor or trans? then the drivers side mount is to crooked. im thinkin use the cast iron piece that bolts in behind the timing cover from something else but idk what to pull one off of. the one on the motor turns the mount some but it needs turned more. idk how to explain it. i will try to get pics up as soon as i can.
i know its a lotta questions and i will keep lookin for the answers but i know there are people out there that have done this swap and will know a simpler way to go about it all.

It's not an "electronic VSS" hole, it's just a VSS hole. Yes you can use it but I think you'll need a B series VSS, not your stock D. Or at least the B series VSS gear is better. Here is a thread:

Also, don't swap harnesses, just do an MPFI swap. They are easy if you take your time and follow the directions.
If you want more questions answered please break your questions down with numbers, it is hard to sift through your rambling. ; )

So many questions lol. Do a bit more searching you will find a lot of info on wat your asking. First for axles you can use 90-93 integra axles and 90-93 half shaft must be for a manual trans! You can also use 94 and up integra axles but you must also use the 94 and up half shaft and it must be For a manal trans! Both set of axles will work but the 94 and newer axles won't work with a 90-93 halfshaft and vice versa. Secound. As for why the motor may be sitting crooket is your using the rear t bracket for 94 and up intera its longer then the 90-93 rear t bracket witch will cause the motor to sit more forward... and on a angle. To fix this you must use a 90-93 rear t bracket and drill the 2 holes bigger where it bolts on the the back of the tranny Cuz the hydro trans use a wider bolt then the cable tranny its ment for hope you understand wat I'm saying so far. And as for converting to mpfi look in my sig I have a right up on how to do it.
thanks guys! ya i noticed that post was pretty scrambled! i got a da rear bracket and the timing belt one and now shes sittin in there pretty!
i talked to the po and i guess this car was multipoint. any way to tell for sure? we looked up the ecu and couldnt find info on it but will look again. my issue with the wiring is i dont have anything that plugs into the motor. it ends at the fenders with the round male plugs. if it indeed was mpfi i will just get an ef si engine harness then convert to obd1. i just wish there was a way to see if the under dash harness is multipoint??
thanks for the vss info! i been tryin to research but not havin internet at the house really slows it down lol.
