Rear suspension noise (squeaking)
93 si, about 176,000 miles (and I'm assuming everything is original except maybe the struts)
About a month or so ago my rear drivers side suspension started squeaking pretty bad. I didn't start slowly or anything, just one day I got in and it was squeaking. It sounds kind of like an old screen door would when you open and close it. It happens anytime the suspension moves, I'm talking like if I press down on the rear of the car and move it even the slightest bit. So pretty much anytime the car is moving its making the noise because the suspensions moving. I was planning on getting new springs and struts at some point this summer, but I’m hoping there’s something I can do up until then to stop the noise because its pretty annoying and rather embarrassing.
Any suggestions on what I should be looking for, or where to start?

Raise the rear of the car to take compression off the strut, get in the trunk and unbolt the strut, push the strut down and see how fast it comes back up. It should come up slowly. But if it's stock with that many miles it could be blown.
