DIY Replacing/Pressing Motor Mount Bushings
I received my new bushings today from Avid. Very excited and glad to work with such a great company. From swapping engines so many times and all of my racing I ended up warping the rear mount. I talked to Avid and without hesitation they sent me new bushing ASAP! Didn't cost me a thing not even shipping. Avid, I can't thank you enough!

To put in new bushing though you'll either need a press or a big vice.
I had both.. but now just a vice

So first I pulled apart the old mount

here you can see all the parts. New bushings vs old. And here is a better picture of the difference. You can see how big the hole on the old bushing is...

So first I also grabbed a piece of wood so I could keep even pressure on the bushing! And I placed it in the vice.

Now make sure to keep it even. And to help I used a flat screw driver to help push in the sides that weren't sliding it right away. And slowly start closing the vice. Then close it al the way

Now flip it and do the same for the other side

And BAM

Now time for the center pin. Make sure you hold the pin straight!

And start closing the vice

since it was my first time I took it out to check it before going all the way threw

Looks good. So now finish it

And now repeat the same process for the other mounts! Tonight I just did passenger side and rear. I will do the transmission mount once the subframe is back in.

You didn't use any lube to reassemble it? Prison style.. nice.
So Avid sent you new inserts for ALL the mounts? I'm amazed the poly broke down so much.. that's crazy. I'm curious to see how warped/damaged the other bushings will be compared to the rear. I would think the front & rear mounts take the majority of wear from normal driving.
Oh and
as always for your write ups!

Oh and
as always for your write ups!I sprayed them with WD40 lol I just forgot to mention that part. But they were sprayed down.
As far as them breaking down, It wasn't much and I never noticed it in the car. But while I was working on the car the rear mount was moving a bit so I tightened it to find it was already tight. So I took it apart and saw this:

I mean you can see right threw it it's warped enough. And the rear is really the only one that was like that so far. The passenger was alright. And I've yet to do the trans. I'm going to take the front off and check it but I'm only running an ESMM which flexes a lot. I was thinking about doing the ol' window weld trick. Or talk to Avid about getting a deal on the front mount from them
