I am converting from obd0 to obd1. I have 2 obd1 dizzys both are different from eachother. How many differt obd1 dizzys are there? I need one that fits a b16a. Both mine I believe are off of SOHC's is that the problem??? Please help!

 

ok there are tons of different dizzys obd0 1 2 vtec non vtec a b d f h series they all look pretty much the same but guess what theyre not o and to answer ur question if it will run w/ a single cam dizzy yesss will it run right? hellll nooo the only thing useable on a vtec b series engine from a single cam is ur good ole p28 so to answer ne future questions no dont try puttin ne thing d series in anything but a d series engine cuz it will not work (correctly)

 

D-series has two dizzy types for OBD1
-D16Z6, D15Z1, JDM D15B (OBD1)
-D15B7, D15B8

All D series for OBD2 have the same housing 96-98 have one style wiring, 99-00 have another (there are some variations but this is mainly the case)
-D16Y8, D16Y7, D16Y5, JDM D15B OBD2

B-series
-All B series VTEC engines have the same dizzy housing, 92-95 have one style wiring, 96-01 have another (again some variations but this mainly the case) (B16A, B17A, B18C1/5, B16B)
-All B series non-VTEC have the same housing different from the VTEC engines but are interchangeable between engines (B18A, B18B, B20/Z/B) but won't bolt up directly to a VTEC head

Not going to go into F and H series engines

 

Thanks for the help just buying a b16 obd1 dizzy off ebay, it will hopefully take all the guess work out.
