Radiator fan isn't working but my climate indicator is normal
Odd question
Scenario:
Car's fan is not turning on but the temperature indicator is not skyrocketing to hot. The dial indicator stays at normal temperature about half way.
Is this possible? Or will the climate indicator always shoot up to hot letting me know its over heating?

Yes everything works but a friend of mines wants to know because he thinks his fan isn't turning on quick enough so he thinks it might start over heating.. He thinks there might be something wrong with his climate indicator or something. But we just want to make sure that the climate gauge will always shoot up to hot if it ever overheats so that he can immediately pull over and shut off his engine before any damage occurs.
if the car isn't overheating then don't worry about it. im sure if you let the car idle long enough the fan will eventually kick on. oem fan doesn come on until about 200* anyways.
if there is a problem with the temp gauge you will know. it will generally not register at all or peg straight to hot with the key on if there is a problem.

Hey how would you jump an unplugged fan switch if the fan switch only has 1 pin? I know that hondas have 2 pins which you can just jump back together with a hair clip and turn on the car so that the fan spins. But what if the fan switch only has 1 pin? How would you go on jumping that? Btw we are also working on a toyota corolla which only has 1 pin for its fan switch

Ground the single Lt Grn wire in the radiator fan switch plug on exposed metal of the radiator support where the fan switch is located. With the key in ON(II), the radiator fan should run.

but you are right about the light green wire. Its weird how Toyota only has 1 wire for the fan sensor
