Water pump issue are on earlier models...they used plastic impellers...these are metal..so its all good. Since you did ur research Im sure you are aware of the infamous rear subframe failure that happens to these cars well mine has been repaired and upgraded along with a toe and camber kit...the real one not the bushing install one which don't work...they move...Im not aware of the oil pump nut. but the car runs great and no check engine lights.
earlier water pumps are plastic these are metal so no issue there. Car runs great. Just installed the clutch and lighten flywheel and it feels great. I also replace ther flex plate and replace the VDC with the ss clutch line. There is also alpine head unit with ipod controls. In addition, i replaced the heater blower resister so all levels on the fan motor work. The leather seats show a little wear but not rips or tears and the top works perfectly.
I just installed two gauges in the pillar, oil pressure and volt meter...in addition, I replace the rear window...took me about 5 hours, but looks great
