im swapping out my beat up b17a1 ys1 tranny for a jdm b16 lsd tranny and everything is going pretty good except for the vehicle speed sensors arent the same!!!!

my b17a1 vss is cable and the jdm vss is electrical. I tried swapping the speed sensors but it wouldnt fit. Am i just **** out of luck? I would like to know if there is something anything i can do to make this swap work.

 

They should just change out just fine. The Gears and lengths are exactly the same. Try turning the trans when u try and fit it in maybee the treeth were not lined up and stopping it from going all the way down.

thanks for the reply! but the gears and lengths on the vss are not the same. i forgot to mention the jdm tranny has lsd and its going into my 92 gsr. i read your link and thank you for that btw. but Im just gonna use the jdm b16a vss, remove the electrical part and stuff my cable in there. i'll let you know how it goes.

 

'90 - '91 B18A VSS *may* work.
