Going to MSF tonight. Just the classroom excercies today.
I was talking to Falcon, and he told me to watch out for the people who have never riden before because they might learn faster than I do while I am trying to unlearn my bad habits. I'm about to get schooled
I'll post up how is goes.

DO NOT light up the brake light during your swerving maneuvors. That's an automatic fail. Other than that... try not to get owned too badly. Good luck and have fun. Remember its ok to drop, its not yours
Class was a little different than I expected to say the least.
We started out with the introductions. I'd say at least 3/4 of the class just got, or is just learning to ride their Harley. The other 1/4 is mixed between experienced riders there to hone skills, people who have never say on a bike before and one other Honda sportbike rider and myself.
Just classroom instruction today. Nothing fun, I learned a few "bet you didn't know's" but for the most part was pretty fundamental. I see how it could and is appropriate for those new to riding. ie, how to start the bike, where the controls are, etc.
Tomorrow we are going to get more indepth and actually ride some motorcycles. Hopefully I will be able to pick up some skills, hell I am sure I will.
I'll keep you guys posted.

watch out for the n00bs!
When I took it a month ago, we had Honda 250's and some Kawa 125's. Written test is easy, I got a 96% on it. Just pay attention closely

Overall today went pretty well. I learned a few things and honed a few skills. I could have done without the first hour of:
Where are the controls?
How to start the bike.
How to use the clutch (power walking)
After that we did some manuvering excercises. Cones, offset cones (kinda difficult), curves, turning, and emergency braking.
A lot of the ladies showed up in their gardening gloves and "bowl on the head" helmets. The other sportbike rider I told you guys about, and I got along pretty well, "racing" (as much as you can without passing) on a few of the excercises.
The assortment of bikes was a pretty diverse one. I rode a yamaha 250 Dual Sport. There were two of them. 2 honda 250 dual sports. 4 Honda 125 standards for those who had never riden before. And 4 harley looking suzuki ???cc's that I was pissed I didn't get.
Tomorrow we take everything to the next level. Then afterwards Scott (sportbike guy) and I are going riding. I am happy I enrolled. Hopefully I will pass the eval.
Better insurance rates if I do

3rd day was pretty fun. I learned more on the 3rd day than the other two combined. Figure eights were pretty easy for me although some people had problems.
The swerve where the instructor told you which way to go, or to stop was what caused me some problems. I did it fine each time I knew where I was going before I got there, but when the instructor waited til the last second to tell me which way or to stop I was a little less effective.
S curve was the best cause we got up to about 30 in this tiny *** parking lot.
I passed, perfect store, and I haven't lost the card yet. Lets hope I can hold on to it.
