FS: AEM Cam Gears B-series DOHC ZC Blue
Hi, I got some AEM cam gears in great condition. They are b-series ones, but work on the DOHC ZC. They are the same # of teeth, just slightly offset (very little, does cause any problems) and the exhaust gear you install just one tooth off. I bought these for my DOHC ZC, but ended up not using them yet. I need money so I got to let these go. They are blue/black in color, and are in great condition (few little scatches). They are the 3-bolt gears, and I know some of you heard the myth about these. Here is the truth:
AEM came out with these cam gears for the b-series motors and d-series motors, alot of people had problems with the d-series gears slipping. It was because the bolts only had a few threads. The b-series ones have a good 1/4" to 3/8" of threads and thick allen bolts. If you put locktite on the threads, or even put some lock washers on for added safety these won't spin at all. People always think the less bolts it has the worse it is, how many bolts do Bisi cam gears have? 3, he tests them up to 11K rpm. I've seen the cheap ebay ones with 5 bolts spin more than the 3 bolt well designed ones, like these. I've seen these AEM cam gears, spin up to 9K rpm on some b-series motors all day for years without any spinning. That's all I'm going to say.
I would like to get $75 shipped (+3% paypal fees, or gift) out of this because that is how much I paid. Will ship priority mail, the same or next day after you pay. No trades, you can make reasonable offers but no low ballers or I might as well just keep them. Thanks for looking.
