get Koni yellow shocks, one of the best setups ever for a civic is the GC springs with Koni yellows. there's a million threads where people rave about the set up.

The only issue with what those 2 said is, unless you have the Koni spec GC sleeve they wont work work the Koni shock.

Out what you posted I would Koni/GC.

I'm assuming these are, they had padding in the center and fit snug with a stock shock.

It's easy to tell, look at the bottom of the sleeve and you see a machied grove type thing inside of it. This is there to grab the koni Cir-clip.

Also, I think the koni spec's are a little narrower. Don't quote me on this just yet. I am looking around to see if I am right or wrong. I saw someone post it in the past.

When I was looking at new suspension setups for my CRX, I made a chart with my desirable features and ranked each one. This narrowed it down to Koni+GC or Tokico illuminas + GC. I researched the prices and found a nice USED set of Koni+GC for about $800-1000. I then was able to find a brand new set of Illuminas AND bought a brand new set of GC for $550 TOTAL. So the major difference in price was my reason for going with the Illumina+GC setup.

Add on an additional $125 for a CRX HF 17.2mm front sway bar and a Neuspeed 22mm rear sway bar, another $150 for new outer tie rod ends & sway bar bushings & rack end bushing, $100 for an alignment and corner balance, and $500 for a MINT Y1 LSD transmission (best money I ever spent) and, IMO, I have myself a pretty good suspension setup for daily driving and "weekend racing" events. Not bad for about $1400 ($925 w/o the transmission). Which is close to what the Koni+GC probably would've cost me new.

So, when you say "tokicos" do you mean the "blues" (hp)? Because, if you do, save yourself the money and buy the Illuminas if you want Tokicos. The HPs are nothing more than a replacement for stock and WILL NOT function well with your coilovers. You WILL be happy you bought the Illuminas over the HP.

Thmotorsport has a lot better deals on koni/gc then that. That price likely would have been with top hats for all 4.

People have post around $799, brand new.

Did you buy the ullumnias used? $550 for that and ground controls is one hell of a deal!

Also, sorry to thread jack OP, but ^what rack bushings did you use?

koni/gc hands down the best setup you can have for a dual purpose car. And if its a full race car I would just recommend better konis haha.

well this is a houston car(lol bad roads) that the suspension will be going on. mainly on the freeway, side streets, and to and from the store/parents house/club etc. so if koni can handle the requirements that im looking for in a suspension then i guess thats my only hope.
