Default Bolt-In Kit$

What's the deal with the price of bolt in kits? Here for a while I thought the b16a was a direct bolt in for the CRX... didn't the JDM b16a motors come in the CRX?

Anyway, why are the bolt in kits so expensive? Seems to me that there isn't much in them. Why hasn't some other company came in and started building kits and lowballing the cometition? A B16a swap for under $1200 isn't bad, but then you gotta spend an extra like $600+ on a kit! Whatever. I'll stick with my ZC until a better kit comes along.

Anyone else think the kit prices are too high?

Anyone have detailed drawings with measurments that a good welder could look at and create their own kit?

Some people have been selling the HCP kit with linkage for around 300 bucks. Not bad if you ask me. The Civic/CRX/Integra that came with the b16a uses slightly different mount points to mount the b16a in the engine bay.

Still too high for me, material cost of about $20 plus about $50 labor, I could deal with $100 for everything. I'm cheap.

Well then buy the material and weld yourself a kit if you have the skill. Or you can relocate your stock motormounts and re-weld them. Two budget choices.

we carry no name kits/place racing style for only $295.00

spend some money on these good mounts. the time and headaches you will experience when doing your own relocation of mounts and welding is such a hassle.
these perfect fit kits will reduce the labor time.

I've seen places that sell B16's and it says it comes with the motor mounts. Would those bolt onto the chassis?
