Hi,

I'm looking to replace the door speakers in my 93 Teg LS but I'm a little confused.

I wanted to know what size speakers would fit. I came on here and used other sources to cross check. I found that pretty much every source says it's a 6.5" speaker sitting in a 5" hole. I could have sworn when glancing at the stock speakers, they didn't look as big as my 6.5's in the back parcel shelf so I went and measured and found they're at best 5", and they do look like stock speakers.

Can anyone explain this? Is there another size of door speakers that came in a 93 Integra?

I have changed mine in my 92 gsr a couple times, I have 6.5, I actually have a second set. I don't think there is any other size.....

 

I'm pretty sure it's 6.5in all round for 90-93 integras.

 

The stock speaker is a STANDARD 6.5, not to be confused with an aftermarket OVER-SIZED 6.5" speaker, older Honda/Acura stock plastic speaker housings came pre-drilled with the 3 mounting screw holes for the 6.5" speaker and the 4 mounting screw holes for the 5.25" speaker, although I have installed 5.25"speakers in these cars, I have yet to see one with stock 5.25" speakers.

Thank you, exactly what I was looking for. They are 4 screw mounts so I'm guessing they're the 5.25" speakers. Will they have the same depth as the 6.5" speakers, of 2"?

I have a 90 LS, and I just replaced all four with 6.5" Sony XS-GT1626A; true universal fit speakers. I did have to bend some of the mounting tabs that I wasn't using and it just dropped in perfect.

 

I have also replaced my old beat up pioneers in my 90 ls and 6.5 fit in perfect
