Default Electronic throttle body vs cable throttlebody

What is the pro or con of both electronic throttle vs. cable throttle. I don't like the way electronic throttle feels with cars that I have driven.

not 100% sure, but the newer 8th gen Si's with DBW(elec.) TB results in more gas saving, but sorta has the lagging throttle response. But there's the converter setup you can install which is to eliminate/improve the throttle response ($100 ish or so???). I know for fact that the newer lexus (toyotas) with such TB is for improving fuel economy; older IS300 vs. Newer IS250/350's and older ES vs. newer ES models.

I,m mostly concerned with performance and swapping the k series into my 88 CRX. I came up with 2 good reasons for electronic. The first is, being able to put the gas pedal wherever you want. With wires you can do anything. The second is more for cosmetics. You don't have an ugly throttle cable looping around in the engine bay.

There's a electronic converter/piggyback unit of some sort out there to improve the throttle response of the DBW TB. I believe it costs around 120 ish??? I've read some positive responses on 8th gen forum.
