Default High Schooler's FBP DC2

UPDATE!!! (5/7/11)

Whats up guys. So basically I just bought my Flamenco Black Pearl GSR recently and I thought I'd share some photos of it. I'm a High School student so this build of mine will be very slow due to being poor.

Night I picked her up

Next day was the cleaning and maintenance that needed to be done

Sitting on some ugly donuts, needed a wash badly!

Picked up a passwordjdm shift boot

Interior shot

Had to get a shot with the TE37 Reps

UPDATE!!! (3/30/11)

Got a good wash and picked up an ITR wing!

Didn't install it yet because I still need to order the rubber pieces under the spoiler to mount.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

It'll look better once fully mounted

Thanks guys! Well right now I'm running on H&R springs with stock struts. I'm thinking of buying a set of adjustable coilovers. What do you guys recommend thats reliable and affordable for a high schooler. haha. I know ground control/koni is obviously the best set up to go with. Anything else? Oh, and estimate of price also.

what will you be doing with the car? do you plan on tracking it or anything? if i were you i would definantly invest in a set of shocks that are designed to handle lowering. if you need something cheap and compatible with lowering, skunk 2 sport shocks (ebay) are a cheap route. a little harsh ride, but what can you expect from a performance suspension. if you have the money, a good set of fully adjustable coilovers would be a good choice. tokico illuminas are also good shocks, but are a bit more pricey. still cheaper than koni yellows.

Not really planning on tracking the car anytime soon. Just the daily driving. I'm thinking of coilovers.

Update!

Haven't done much to the car lately because of school taking over my schedule and the weather has been rainy and crappy here in oregon.. Here are some things I did to the car since my last update.

- Painted an extra strut bar I had laying around RED.

- Got tired of that peeling valve cover so I decided to try something new

- It did not look pretty...

- Used 1 small coat of aircraft paint stripper and ended my evening with this.

- The next day I added one more coat of paint stripper to get the rest of the paint off. Decided I didn't want to paint it yet so I started the wet sanding

- The difference after 10-15min of 230 grit sandpaper

- Didn't have a chance to do more than the 230 grit so It had to come to an end for the day. I was surprised with the difference. Definitely going to go on with the 400-600-800-1000 grit next weekend.

- Sideview

- The finished product after doing 1 hour of 230 grit wet sanding.
