Default D-series Hydro shift forks being put in a cable transmission???

Hey i have my build thread up on a couple forums, had said i thought my shift fork may be bent and a member on a forum said that the 96-00 dseries hydro shift forks were made of stronger material??? Anyone know if this is true or not?? Took both my transmissions apart and both of my cable si transmissions have the same broken shift fork.... or even if the dseries hydro shift forks will work in a cable too... Need to know this asap so anyone with info it would be appreciated

Thanks
Eric
