My new ride, finally got it home.
First off , I want to say thank you to Ed (rextang) for selling me such a beautiful representation of our beloved CRX. It is very obvious that you took great care of this car and I will do my best to maintain that level of care and keep the car as pristine as you have. Thanks for keeping things in PMs and allowing me to buy this car. And definitely for working with me through making it out to MI and pick it up. Between kidney stones and the flu, I though I was going to die last weekend.
And without further delay, I'll toss up the original PM I received along with adding some pics for everyone's viewing pleasure. lol

Sunroof rust bubbles:

I tell you man, this thing is virgin. It pulls like crazy from 55-110 (err I mean the speed limit) Everything is so tight and crisp. Shifting is flawless, the clutch (though I'm used to the big dumpy clutch in my Jeep) was great. It tracks straight going down the road and everything works absolutely perfect. I almost don't feel I deserve such a nice CRX. Almost.

New Honda distributor 2006
ARP head studs and Cometic MLS gasket, no mods to engine however.
autopower 4pt bolt in cage
Eibach ProKit Springs
Koni/Neuspeed yellow Shocks in rear (adjustability really helped dial in the suspension)
Bilstein shocks in front
Neuspeed front strut bar
ST Adjustable rear sway bar
DC Sport 4-2-1 header
Thermal R&D catback (muffler painted flat black) Currently, I hear a small exhaust leak coming from cat/exhaust flange. Gets quieter after car is warmed up.
Momo suede steering wheel (worn, but still a joy)
Odyssey drycell battery in the rear compartment. Also have tender for winter storage.
AC removed
full interior, 1" tear in driver door typical (seatbelt pinched), but seats are pristine
original intake with K&N, but have a cool sounding, torque robbing shiny tube style if you want
14" brand new Michelin A/S tires (my Falkens were done)
HX wheels (enkei)
Hawk HP pads up front
Honda OEM pads in rear
SS Brake lines
drivers side was repainted - previous owner, two separate parking lot incidents. Front fender driver side was backed into and a shopping cart blew into the rear quarter
Small rust bubbles on sunroof panel that I wax to keep clean
small rust at rear wheel wells and near gas door, but not through yet
any rust starting in non visible exterior parts have been sanded and treated with rust jelly.
underbody was undercoated a long time ago, so everything is very sound structurally for a 20 yr. old car
Car starts every time on first crank, second crank sometimes when less than 1/2 tank.
Car tracks straight, steering is like nothing else on the road
Shifter mechanism is all original, crisp action and clutch take-up is a breeze
36 mpg hwy when driven at 70, 33 mpg at steady 80mph
28 when driven on short trips with lights.
Will hit an indicated 125 mph
Pull from 80 to 115 is incredible for a n/a 1.6L engine
Purchased in May of 2003 from a retired military flight instructor in south west Indiana who washed it religiously and kept the engine bay clean enough to eat out of. We still occasionally write each other.

The car is exactly as I bought it. The first post has the list of mods the prev owner installed. I picked her up for 3500. O.O
The pics in the first post are ones he sent me, but he put it back to stock intake tubing and OEM distributor before I picked it up.
He gave me a whole mess of parts he had including the chrome intake, complete A/C system, CRX Bra, stock suspension, extra OEM rotors, and all sorts of other misc spare parts.

Due to how crisp and string the low mileage stock motor is, I can't bring myself to yank the motor for the boosted H22 I wanted to put in, I can't see putting on a JDM front since the one on it is so pristine, and I can't bring myself to rice it all out with a WW body kit or big rims. *shrug* It's virtually flawless how it is, so I don't see messing with it too much. The previous owner dialed in the suspension and it handles and rides like a dream.
I MAY add a small custom enclosure for a 10" sub and a small amp to compliment the very nice sounding full range speakers in the door and the Alpine cd player, but that's about it.
I took it in for it's first PA inspection today and found out that beside the trailing arm mount, it's been hit pretty hard by something. So hard it creased the floor board behind the passenger seat and punched a hole in it.
It's hard to tell from the flashlight glare, but there's a long horizontal line across the sheet metal that looks almost like a forklift prong hit it.
Here's some better pics. I don't think the dent/hole is from anything done today at the shop that inspected it, given the amount of surface rust on it.

Here you can see the hole better, and the rust that's around it. (and the roll bar mount hehehe)

The best I can figure is one of the previous shops had it on a lift and either dropped it, or it was spun out and went backwards pretty hard into some kind of curbing. It was a HARD impact, and whoever was driving had to have heard it.
The guy at the shop said the easiest way to repair it would be to pound on it with a rubber hammer from inside, then silicone it and recover it with undercoating. OR have it ground out and have a piece of metal welded in and recover with undercoating, but either will keep it from getting rusty and it'll last for years if I grind out the rust first.

Things clean as **** gotta love a clean ef I kinda miss my old hatch think it's funny how he flat out admitted to dawgin it out though O well atleast he was honest I guess
No, I don't think he did. He went over everything with me and was very passionate about the car and making sure I knew every tiny flaw. He even went as far as to point out small stone chips in the headlight, and all sorts of little things I wouldn't have cared about at all.
When I posted the pics of it on CRXCommunity, he was as shocked as I was to see it. He had a friend doing his mechanic work though, and I have a feeling the mechanic may have either done it and never said anything when he saw it. (It's really hard to miss.) He may have somehow had a hand in covering it up so the prev owner didn't know about it. IDK.
The prev owner is a stand up guy and seemed pretty cool, so I really doubt he had any knowledge about it.
The tiny blemish underneath wouldn't have been a deal breaker for me, with as immaculate as the rest of the car inside and out and under the hood I still feel I got a great bargain. I don't mind removing some pieces and having the unibody patched for such a small mistake.
Here's what I posted there, and it holds true...
That of course is a temp fix until I can find someone with a junk chassis sitting around that I can cut that section out of and have it welded in properly to replace the damage.

I'm going to pound it out from inside so it's as smooth as I can get it. Then I'll use in some silicone to plug the hole, some POR15 on the inside, and a can of spray on undercoating and hit that area and a few other thin spots in the undercoating.
I was bored this morning and went and took a few pics locally.
Couple of the windy road I was playing on. Had the road all to myself.
I couldn't decide which I liked better, so you all get to see both, lol
Driver's side

Passenger side. lol

I got half way up the road and now I see why no one else had came up/down...
I did a u-turn. No snow for me thanks.

Kinzua Point Scenic Overlook

There's just a few I took. I'll get some more odds and ends once the weather warms some. It is like 19 out right now, and I don't want to have it out in the snow/salt ...
PS - it really needs a good cleaning soon. :?
Edit to add:
I been looking at alternate Honda wheels. I'm torn between the 2010 Insight wheels and the Fit Sport wheels

Thanks. Every time I go to my garage, I like it more and more as well. lol.
If i can find a set, I'm leaning heavily towards the Insight's 14" wheels....
Any thoughts?
