Default b20z type R cam clearances

So after doing a bit of research, I have found a few things that people have said about B20z pistons and Type R cams. To be specific, I'm building a b20b4 with b20z pistons, pr3-1 head with 98 spec type R cams

Things that people said
1)You will need to grind valve reliefs on pistons to clear valves
2)The valves will clear but you have to have cam timing set to 0 degrees
3)Cam timing can be adjusted 4 degreesą

I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with the similar or even the same set up as mine.

Thanks!

You shouldn't even have any clearance issues with stock parts!

There are more then likely people who have the same setup you have. The search function is outstanding on this website and has helped me out of a jam more then a few times.

The safest way to find out if your going to have clarence issues is to clay the pistons and then install the head. Remove the head and go from there... I myself am not sure of the proper procedure of how to accomplish this task but a simple search should point you in the right direction.

You do know valve reliefs on non-vtec pistons are smaller than those on vtec motor pistons. Right? If your joking its hard to understand over the internet...

That's why you tune it and keep it within a safe rev limit. Numerous stock parts ls vtec builds have been done. I myself had a b20vtec. Had no issue what so ever. If he's worried then clay the motor.

From my understanding with b20z pistons and ITR cams they need to be left at 0,0.

I don't see the benefit of cam timing with stock cams. 0,0 would be best.
