Default 2002 Accord EX noice from driver wheel

Hi,

I have 2002 Accord EX, I only drove 58K miles, I used this car in MI for about 4 years before I move to NC. I have some rust on the wheels and inside the wheel like springs etc.

Recetntly I noticed a noise from my driver side front wheel when I drive and car bumps on the road, It is like tic tic noise as car bumps, when car passes regular no noise coming. I took the car to service center and they told me that I should be changing the whole set of springs and fixers as it is difficult to isolate the problem. They told me it is going to cost around $800 to fix the noise. I don't think it is worth spending around 1K to fix 2002 car.

Does any has this kind of problem for 2002 accord EX models. Any suggestions and help would highly appreciate to understand the problem. Thanks in advance

1. If the shop said it's diffcult to isolate the problem, then why do they want to change ALL of the springs?

2. What the hell is "Fixer"?

What you could try to do is to clean up those areas with rust. Also, inspect for any rust "through", or suspension components that may be deteriorating from the salt and rust.
