Y1 gearbox can't engage 2nd and 4th in high rev. that's my problem. i was wondering, would changing the syncros or gearbox would be worth it? asked this once and got no good reply.. thanks in advance for any advice.

 

Potential synchronizer ring, sleeve, hub, gear damage. We can't tell you unless we open it up and inspect it. Not sure what you want us to tell you over the internet without detailed photos. It's a purely case-by-case basis when it comes to something like that.

 

i see.. the syncro is ok but old, the rest are find.. not worn out of anything.

 

this is why i worry about swapping gears for my bseries build.

any further updates would help me out too..

 

well, i decided to change the syncros after a friend of mine helped to inspect the g/b. everything was fine as i expected earlier. i also used Redline synthetic g/b fluid. not sure how it performs yet because i haven't pushed it to the limit once more..

 

what was the cost of the syncros?

 

I'm a malaysian. so in MYR$980.
