So I just got some used injectors and the brown piece on the end where you put it in the manifold around the sprayer is cracked on two of them. Are they still good? or is it not a good idea to put them in.

Shoot an email (preferably with pics) to my buddy Rich over at cruzinperformance.com.

rich@cruzinperformance.com

He's very good about replying and he'll tell you what to do. He's the injector oracle.

Good luck,

-Walter

I'm assuming your talking about the pintal (sp) cap... they can be replaced... on a side note... I have ran without a pintal cap on one injector and it ran fine... but there supposed to be there...

they are just there to stop the tip from getting damaged. I dropped a cup that had 2 of them in once. Both of the injectors were cracked/broke in the same place your talking about. I still used em. Still running fine to this day.

I think it honestly controls the spray pattern but I'm not sure... not trying to get into a pissing match...

From what I have been told I guess all the cap does is protect the pintle. So I tore all the loose stuff off and I'm going to put them in today.

Yeah I did. Helped me out quite a bit but he wanted 17 dollars per injector to fix them and I'm on a hella budget so I just ordered some new caps from injectordoctor.com.

Just take them off and be very careful when installing them, they are there to protect the tip
