Default 99 DC2 Eibach pro-system or sportline system

99 GSR, stock suspension right now. I have looked into a lot of different set ups, and have had a few set ups my self such as:

Sportlines/kyb gr2 on DC4
Skunk 2 springs/tokico HP DC4
H & R springs tokico HP DC4
PIC Apex DC2

Car is used mainly for DD and will never see track. Maybe spirited driving down winding roads, but other than that, I want a system that will be lower, stiffer, and take an occasional pot hole here and there. SO bottom line is:

Which is better for my driving?

the pro kit or the sportline kit?

Out of the options you listed, PIC would by far be the best choice. KYB GR2 and Tokico HP shocks are basically OEM replacements and really aren't good for anything more than stock or maybe H&R OE Sport springs (the ones that lower about 3/4" or so).

HAHAH...sportline system for track use? NO. Spring rates too soft...however, if this car will never see the track its a good solid DD suspension although it would be too low for my taste.

Listen to Pat, PIC is the best of your choices but if your looking to stay in the $400 range eibach or koni str.t/eibach (and/or your spring of choice) is the way to go.

With what you posted, I would go for the PIC. My reasons are, it's a very good company, that makes great coilovers. 2, the shocks you posted aren't made to be lowerd.

Now, if you switched out the shocks, to maybe the Eibach shock, or the koni SRT-T, or the Sport. I would reconsider that choice.

I have no personal experience with the Apex, but I can tell you PIC is a great company.
I would never consider either shock you posted for anything other than a OEM spring, and stock height, if not a H&R OE or the Tein H Tech spring.

Good Luck!

I figured the PIC Apex would be a top choice. I also looked into the Eibach kits, are they worth looking into?? For ex: sport kit & pro kits?

I have had a set of sportlines and they were just fine. The rear end dropping right to the QP, but the front left two finger gap. It was pretty soft though..

Sounds great. I was planning to go budget seeing the PIC Apex aren't cheap. I had a set on my old DC2, and I loved them. Stiff, smooth, and extremely confortable. That was a time long ago, when money wasn't an issue. Right now, the suspension is stock, and driving isn't enjoyable like it is when its riding on a tuned suspension.

Thanks. I was leaning towards the PIC Apex seeing I had a set. But that was when the money was better, and there wasn't anyone nagging about what I buy.

Thanks for the responses.
