Please help me identify this part
Unfortunately I don't have a picture to show you all so I will do my best to describe what I'm looking for. I own a 1986 Prelude will the dual carb 1.8 engine, AT. I just recently had the engine replaced and have since had nothing but fuel delivery issues. The mechanic doing all the work on my car says that I need to replace my choke thermostat, it's apparently the only thing keeping my car from running properly. Despite my best efforts I have yet to find one, or even a list of all engine parts that contains a "choke thermostat". The part I need is a small metal square maybe 2"x2" with a round rubber cap attached to it with a single wire protruding from the side. It bolts into the side of the passenger side carburetor. If anybody can help me identify or even find this part I would be grateful.
I'm going to say go the dealer on that one. They should be able to look it up and by the sounds of it shouldn't be horrifically expensive for just the part if you (or your mechanic) do the install.
