Default Help with cylinder head rebuild

Im working on a junkyard special f22a cylinder head im putting on a built lower B2 block, and was going to put some new intake and exhaust valves on it. And other than the ~$20 per valve i see on TAS auto and other parts sites, i found these on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...#ht_3392wt_925

Yes, they are cheap! but they seem to atleast look nice. Has anyone bought from this seller? Or should i just go for broke and get the stainless ferrea ones on TAS auto?

Just remember that you get what you paid for. I'd go Bisimoto Valves.

Link to Bisi's valvetrain for sale: http://bisimoto.com/store/index.php?...7dcsmq9lh7v6l4

You won't be disappointed.

Yeah i saw that he recently added those... VERY tempting. But i must say... for what im doing, that is VERY overkill...

Could have very large valves like that actually HURT some?

You'll need to get the head worked on to get the 1mm oversize valves to fit inside the head. And no, it won't hurt a thing if you go oversize valves and will improve on your performance.

Well the intake is 2mm oversize and the exhaust is 1mm. That just seems HUGE. Ill be running 12 points of compression with his cams but i didnt know if it would have any adverse effect on low RPM performance?

My theory was kind of like hogging out the cylinder head. If its TOO big you lose port velocity and lower RPMs suffer, but make it up in the top end. Does this apply for valves as well?

I also wonder what the valve 2 valve clearance would be like.

Also Nusdogg, i accidentally stumbled upon you youtube video of the Apexi WS2 exhaust. hows that thing working out? I noticed they all sound good... but what about at say... 6k?
