G-Force or Albins gear set?
Looking to buy a B-Series gear set but it's kind of hard to choose one....I like the Albins cuz of their helical gear design IMO helical=spreads the load better than straight cut gears but the G-Force seems like they worked out most of their issues with the double handcuffs....
Just lookin for opinions and experiences

i like the gear ratio of the g-force and they seem to be holding good on allen's and la carla... for u is more convinient bc they're close to us and i know ppl arround you that got good conections with them cant say nothing about albins gear's since all i have dealt eith is g-force, liberty and ppg and i would run any off those bc we had succes with all 3 brands on diferent type of cars so imo it comes down to budget and replacement parts cost... bc at the end of the day aint no bullet proff gear set and it would never be one out there
was very happy with my liberty gear set/billet bellhousing. broke 4th gear on a mustang dyno putting a huge load on the car trying to get a little more boost out of it.
if i still messed with the fwd stuff, id get the same thing again.

Were running the Albins gear set in our 700hp car and loving the gear set, my brother is loving it cuz it shifts like butter into every gear
I would go with GForce, for a few reasons...
One they been involved for awhile developing their gearset with a few well known racers. They actually come with "tech" support... They will either teach you or guide you how to shim and install their gearset. They don't give you a box of gears and say here you go. Price point is around 4500 I believe and they're right here at home in the USA. So if you break or have a problem, it's a lot easier to get parts then from out of continent. The way they manufacture their gears are beautiful. I've seen Gforce B-series transmission, experienced their GF 2000 transmission and all I can say is wow on quality.

I inquired about buying a Gforce gear set before I bought the Albins, and the only way that they would sell it is if I sent in all the parts required for them to build it, and the guy didnt seem too confident that it would hold up at power levels over 600hp. Albins, on the other hand, guaranteed the parts would hold up, and were willing to completely stand behind that claim. It was an easy choice at that point. One day, I'll buy a Gforce set as well and compare it, but not until they will sell it without me sending in my parts. I just dont feel comfortable sending out $4k+ in parts to someone and then hoping something doesnt happen in transit or in their possession. Obviously, we have PPG boxes here too, but the more we work with them, the more I like Albins..

Albins.
I have a Seanz (Was the only H set available when I did it), though about going with the PPG, but if I had to do it again the Albins would be my choice. They are sick, not to mention serviceable dogs that can be swapped to get twice the life out of a set. Its a no brainer...
the albins is more of a semi Helical... With a less pronounced degree of angle on the teeth... Reminds me of the old rock crushers when I look at them, and makes me stiff.
If I start breaking the Saenz at thee new power level, I may get one... If I dont decide to scrap the idea and go RWD.

I never used a albins set but looks like a good set..But G-force i have used and was there with Lou assembling the whole set with the older style with no lower cuff and he was showing me the newer design w/the lower cuff and they also made the gear profile wider on each gear compared to the other set they made before.According to Lou thats as wide of a gear profile that can be used inside the factory casing. They are also working with diff. ratios for the diff. tire combos.Felix, allan, and la carla all have the newer boxes and are working flawless. They will also offer us a return package with the older box towards the newer box.
