Need some opinions for my S2000
my friend has the skunk 2 coilovers in his 08 civic and for street and track use seem to be preety good he had the teins but didnt like the ride and was very satified with the skunk 2s
Well the benefit to coil overs are that they are adjustable (height and stiffness) while a lowering springs are not. I would personally just get the lowering springs because they will be 1/4 the price and the serve the same purpose unless you have plans on traking the car.

There are benifits to having coilovers vs springs for all cars, even those that only drive on the street. The only way your statement can be true is if the only goal of the owner is to lower the car, even then just because the car was lowered doesn't mean it is right.
Take for example the third of stroke travel you lost from OEM because you threw springs on.

you cann't go wrong with coilover, i use to have 5 different set of spring in one car but never happy so i go with coilover and never look back. get the one with damping adjustable so you have the option of how you want your ride to be.
