Default Cruise Control

In my 1991 honda accord when i set my cruise control all of the lights come on but my speed won't hold unless I keep pressing accel. It doesnt set right when I press the set button like all of the other cars I drive. I adjusted the actuator cable and still no luck. Please Help Me.

i tried it at higher speeds and it sets but my car drops exactly 5 MPH before catching, it goes back to the speed I set it to.

Any codes?

After that there are a few tests/adjustments that might be able to help. Do you have a manual for this, suggests getting one. There are sites where you can download a free one.

Look under the hood on the drivers side and you'll see a black and silver UFO shaped thing.

It works on a suction based system with air hoses attached to it. Follow the hoses that come off of this unit (except for the one going straight down into the body) and make sure there are no leaks in these hoses.

Sounds like you cannot keep a tight seal due to a vacuum/air leak.

Been following your post and it inspired me to do a little research. I have a 92 accord wagon that had the same problem. I adjusted the cable at the actuator under the hood. It took all of 5 mins and problem solved.
