Default in the market for a new clutch

hey Honda-tech family I believe it is time to replace my clutch. I bought a clutch kit from Kragen (dynapack) auto about 3 years ago. The feel of pedal is very weak and I like them really firm. the feel of the pedal feels as if I have air in the system. engaging disengaging sucks because its jerks the car like crazy. I bought this clutch just for dd but now I believe it was a bad choice. I need Honda-tech's guidance on purchasing a new clutch. I was looking at getting a exedy clutch kit because I believe they are inexpensive and seem to be an oem replacement. if some one has bought one and has a firm feel please help me. I don't want to make the same mistake again.

Exedy is honda's OEM supplier for clutches, if you buy an OEM Exedy replacement clutch you're getting exactly the same thing you would if you ordered a new clutch from Honda (just cheaper)

It just feels like a stock clutch, which aren't particularly firm.

Some one told me to buy a stage 1 for a firm feel. He told me it would be good dd. Is this correct?

I am currently daily driving an ACT Heavy Duty (HD) Pressure Plate (1600lbs pressure) with Performance Street disc on my ITR swap and I love it. I prefer stiff clutch pedals as well and it's quite stiff but still very driveable. I used to daily drive an ACT 2600lbs pressure plate on my DSM back in the day though. For comparison, stock Civic pressure plate should be around 1100-1200lbs.

Good luck,

-Walter

I like to have the softest clutch possible, it provides a weak point in the drivetrain to save your trans , diff and axles, and is much nicer to drive.
