did you put the car at top dead center when replacing the distributer?? and the other 2 codes relate to fuel that could be doing it.

ok well thats your code 8 the code 8 is TDC (top dead center) position it code be that the destributor is not functioning right because of this i suggest to place the engine at tdc and then remove and then procede to replace it alway put the car at tdc when doing anything that invloves internal replacement. sorry for the grammer.

i took the dist out and put it on tdc put the distrubtor back in reset the computer still have code 8. It flashes 8 fast times ? I dont understand why its throwing that code. I also pulled the top timing cover off and checked the timing marks everything is lined up perfect. Runs good just wont rev over 3k. It also is reading code 41 o2 sensor and code 16 fuel injector. I just want the cel light off. please help thanks

So the Code 8 is a code or is it just what the cel is doing? Because if it's flashing eight times it's something totally different but it could also be the o2 and injector problem since your car is a obd1 the one o2 sensor controls/monitors the fuel curve so if the o2 is bad or dirty it will tell the car to add more or or fuel and just completely have the car messing up the injector could be a problem too do you have a misfire?

It can't be the CKP because the car is running.

The ECU takes the signals from the CKP to determine injector pulse. When you turn the key to the "ON" position, the fuel pump prime for 2 sec then stop. Why did it stop priming after 2 sec? Cause there's no signal from the CKP; since, there's no crankshaft movement.

Yes the car is automatic. I think i found my problem. This is the craziest **** i've ever seen. When you cut the headlights on the fuel pump comes on!! started looking and noticed some one cut the factory radio plug and i guess tried to wire another stereo up. alot of the wires in that harness are burnt together and it looks like that harness goes into the main harness I dont know if im right but i belive i have a wiring issue ? Please help i really dont want to have to change the whole damn harness. Thanks!!
