Small rims = lower car?
whats up. Jus a quick question i have a 98 sedan lowered 2 inches on stock steelies and stock tire size. I am satisfied with the drop but would like to know if i was going with 16inch rims and a low pro tire would my car go lower to the ground? Would it create a gap cause now i have none?

16's with like 40 series tires might drop it a bit, not 100% sure. Either way as someone mentioned above...the 16's with low profile tires will make it appear lower than it is anyways.
Try to always keep the wheel size.. For example I have 14s on my car and the aspect ratio of the tires I have are 65. With 16s I would go with a lowest of 50, because any lower than that then you'll have speedo issues.
If you buy the appropriate tire for your 13-14-15-16" wheel you can keep the original ride height.
For 16's you want a 205/45/16 to be closest to OEM spec. 205/40 and 205/50 also work, 205/50 is the stock ITR tire size for the 16" wheel.
There is a tire for all the wheel sizes mentioned in here to keep the original total wheel/tire diameter about the same. Going far outside of this diameter really messes with your fuel economy, speedometer accuracy, etc.

People had issues with the 13 version of the HX wheels...dunno what they're from but I know it was a brake clearance thing.
I think it might look a little odd IMHO as well.
That'd be like 65 series tires to make it even level out slightly. I think BBS mesh in a 13 would be better fitting for an ef?
To each their own.
