Name the peice that you turn when you bleed brakes
What's the name of the piece you turn open when your bleeding you brakes?
Is it called the bleeder valve or something. Cause i had my friend bleed my brakes and i guess he said he broke them or something and that i would need to replace next time i go to bleed them, and im going to do it within a month while i put my civic type R struts/UCA's on the car and i wanna hit up the dealership before hand.

also i was reading someone talking about brakes on civic and when you change pads you suppose to have a certain tool that screwed the piston in? Because i thought you could just C clamp them in, but they said you can kill the threads on the piston.
That would be the bleeder valve as previously mentioned by someone else.
It looks like you own a 6th gen so you just need a C clamp to push the piston in. Just to be sure to evenly apply the pressure. Don't push directly on the piston with the clamp, use an old pad.
With the new 8th gens, you turn the piston to get it to go back into the caliper. IIRC, it either has a cross going through the middle or just one groove going straight through the middle to let you turn it.

i knew it was something like that just couldnt think of the name of it at the time, And yes i took a old pad and used a C clamp. I just never herd of having to twist it in on some civic's figured they were basicaly the same..
