i have been reading the hybrid forums about swapping motors and harnesses etc. etc. and i have a OBD1 wire harness but my dizzy is OBD2 and alt is OBD2. from reading this i CAN? splice my OBD2 plugs onto my OBD1 wire harness and it will be ok? i just want to make sure im reading this right before i start to hack up my harness
my car is a 98 integra DC4. The harness that came on it is TRASH i dnt want to use it again, and i have a OBD1 vtec laying around. so i was hopein to use that harness so i dnt need to get a OBD1 vtec dizzy or a OBD1 alt.

You can use obd-2 engine harnesse with obd-2 engines on obd-1 cars with no mods so I would think vice versa would be same as far as the harness as long as the plugs are changed to obd-2 to fit he sensors as required. I would look a schematics to make sure the right color wire for the plug is going to the right connection/component unless you can use the old harness for reference. you will also be missing knock sensor wiring and the crank position wiring since obd-1 harnesses did not have these but you can prolly remove and add from the old harness
