adhesive remover

i took off the pinstripes and dealer stickers off my car and i have that sticky adhesive **** left over, what can i use to get it off? any solvents or chemicals

Try using "Goo Gone"which can be found at Home Depot and various discount auto supply shops.

yeah goo gone is great, but you can also use wd-40 or paint thinner to remove adhesive. if using paint thinnner, be sure to use paint thinner and not lacquer thinner. lacquer thinner will remove your paint!

3M trim and adhesive remover (red label can) has always worked well for me. Plus it is great in case someone decides to "art" your Civic up with a spraycan.
