Icon2 Can I / Is it a good idea to take this cover out?

I was wondering, in my ek, it has the half radiator but theres a plastic panel that blocks airflow going through the other half of the front grille area...

I was wondering, would it be better to take it off *cooling purposes* or is it something i Dont want to take off? /*so as not to tamper with the O2 sensor...

hope to get an answer soon

all opinions are welcome

it wont interfere with the O2 sensor, and might even cool the ambient temps under the hood even,

but does it direct any airflow to the radiator?, i know its not neccesary to, but it might do just that

I dont believe that it is, considering that it is set nearly Behind the radiator itself. right where the fan mounts.

The black plastic block off plate?

You want that there for the best cooling.

Any air that can enter the engine bay without going through the radiator reduces the amount that does travels through the radiator. The lower the pressure in the engine bay, the more effective the radiator becomes.

If you tend to hit puddles the water usually ends up all over the distributor. Honda didn't put it in there for no reason.
