Auto to manual conversion...95% likely keep F22 motor
What trans would bolt up? [Minus adding the 3rd pedal and such various parts]. Would the prelude trans [if it can be bolted up to the F22] outperform the OEM accord manual trans??
Also what are ALL parts needed for doing this? To the best of my knowledge the tranny (duh!), manual ECU, Clutch, 3rd pedal..haha
BTW I tried search and couldn't find much that pertained to the 4th gen.

as far as trannys...i believe the stock f22 andt eh h23 ones will fit ok. might wanna do some checking around.
also i think this is the bulk of the following parts needed for auto to manny swaps. anybody correct me if im wrong.
Accord 5 speed axles and half shaft
Accord 5 Speed shifter assembly
Prelude or Accord shifter cables (2)
Accord Brake Pedal Arm
Accord Clutch Pedal Assembly
Accord Clutch Master Cylinder
Accord Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir
Accord Clutch Hydraulic Line
Accord Clutch Dampener Assembly

any F or H series trans will bolt up. The H23 has significantly shorter gearing which will increase performance but at highway speeds you motor won't be too happy. The H22 is even shorter and would be terrible at highway speeds.
search.
search.
Update*** the only difference is the driver side cv axle and all of the manual parts(shift linkage, etc have stock mounting and rubber boots in the holes where the cables go and slave. You will need...,, shift cables, clutch reservoir and hard line all the way to slave. A new or used slave and a flywheel and clutch. The clutch pedal and assembly, cotter pin for clutch pedal.( get it new.) everything else is easy and plug and play. (Ecu, instrument cluster, clutch shut off switch, and a manual brake pedal. Last list is superficial parts. First list is what u need for it to function. Thank y’all. And btw h series and f series trans are the same minus a different gearing and h is stronger. Look at the sub-frame to trans mount, that will tell you if an outside trans will fit. The(90-97) is true minus different gearing and different starter mounting. AUTO STARTERS ARE A DIFFERENT BOLT PATTERN THAN MANUAL!) I hope I save someone’s time and good hunting to my Honda fam. When this thread was started I was on AOL dialup! I like that the 5 speed manual's 5th in my '99 Accord is tall. 65 MPH is around 2500 RPM. I didn't realize the Prelude's gear was that short. So were the manual transmission CR-Vs, not quite as short as the Preludes, but around 3200 RPM at 65 MPH. Always wondered why. If 5th was too tall to accelerate/pass then just drop it down to 4th.
