Default Need help on a purchase

Hey, I recently found an 04 rsx (base) for a great price, low miles, everythings clean, no problems with the engine, comes with wheels that match right.

But I wanted to know if anybody has any major complaints on the car or if there is a reason I should avoid it.

I currently have an 03 civic ex and performance gains from any aftermarket parts are almost very little, to non existent. Unless it's turbo or nos or swap.

So my questions are.

1. is the 04 Rsx a good car / improvement over my current car.
2. How well does the engine respond to aftermarket parts.
3. Should I go and search for a better car??

My budget for a new car is about 10-12 K
But you won't believe how much I can get this RSX for. That's why if I get it, I'll have plenty of money to boost, drop, tint, etc.

Btw it is a semi-auto tranny. If that will make a difference? I plan to go boost, So Idk if this will be an issue.

Thnx in advance for the support.

Oh srry but I forgot to add what I'm looking for in a car.

I plan to go boost. Nothing too big, but I want something that can get up. Or is capable of it.

I was thinking either this RSX or a SRT4

if your thinking of buying an rsx with that kind of money
just get a type-s you wont regret it
offcourse srt4 is much faster but i love hondas and i wont trade my ep3 for srt4
and honda they tend to last longer and more reliable car, some of us here still drive there car and reached 200k miles and still running fine

im sure you'll find an rsx-s for 7 or 8 gran and the rest of your money get whatever parts you want

I have concluded that you know nothing about cars.

Semi auto? its auto but will let you choose a gear if it likes it.
Boost? no. 2 people have done it with auto and wasted money. both are ***gits.
for that money you can easily get an 05 Type S with ok mileage.

Honda > Dodge

It is a Neon, do you really need to ask any more questions?

Sure an SRT4 might be faster out of the box than an RSX Type S but what they gained putting a turbo on it, they skimped everywhere else. Don't those things still have manual rear windows? Get the nicer Acura, everything about it will be higher quality, and then add the performance mods.

All my friends knock me for my "slow" EP3 and as that might be true I don't care because my "slow" EP3 never needs to be repair and has a way higher quality interior, exterior, fit and finish, etc than their cars.
