we have a 92 vx hatch and the other day i went to turn on the headlights and when i switched it on,now the taillights wont come on and the dash lights wont work with the headlights on.when i put the headlight switch in the middle position the dash lights work and everything is fine but the headlights are not in the on position,so bottom line, all lights work,but the taillights and dash lights will not work when the headlights are on.i have a set of good hid lights it does not seem to be any connection.this is my first car and i bought for the ''killer gas mileage''ya know the vx.well it came with headers,coilovers,cold air,etc... and the mileage is not good 32 on a good day?it has the d15z1 engine.is there any way to get an extra 50-70 horse power from motor without a turbo or opening it up.i build 2-strokes snowmobiles and old -school 3- wheelers and i not up on this motor.what would do for some extra power,besides another motor.thanks jeff

 

Is your headlight switch clicking when you rotate it through all 3 positions? Off, parking lights and headlights?

Man i'm havin the same problem with my 1994 del sol that swaped with that motor. All lights works just not my brakelights. I've checked the brake switch,it checks ok and theres no shorts from what I can find... Still can't find it!!!!!! Help would be great... I no that motor real good. I've been workin on mine for over a year now and it makes almost 130 with a stock bottom end......
